- Heat butter and oil in a pot or large pan over medium heat. Add onion and cook for about 5 minutes until translucent.2 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 large onion
- Add ground meats, stirring often to break up into small bits. Cook until browned, about 5 minutes.1 lb ground lamb, 1/2 lb ground beef
- Add tomato paste and cook for about a minute to cook the paste a bit. Stir in pepper flakes, paprika, cumin, and coriander.3 tbsp tomato paste., 1 tsp Aleppo pepper, 1 tbsp paprika, 1 tsp ground cumin, 1 tsp ground coriander
- Add cabbage and broth and mix to combine. Bring it up to a boil, lower heat to a simmer, and cook for about a half hour2 cups beef broth, 1 head green cabbage
- Add salt and pepper to taste and serve.salt to taste, pepper to taste

I can say that this is even better the next day and reheated after the flavors really meld together.
